Call for Youth

Vision and Commitment invites young people ages 13 to 21 from Fremont and Alameda County to participate in educational sessions for the well-being of Hispanic youth.

TALK TOPICS:


→ Migratory Grief

→ Leadership

→ Law

→ Mental health self-care

GOALS:

  • Understanding the migration process and how to adapt to the education system.
  • Learn about mental health in young peoplevenes
  • Recognizing emotional challenges and reducing mental health stigma.
  • Defend the rights of undocumented immigrants and refugees.
  • Reduce stress and promote emotional well-being.

BENEFITS:

  • Obtain community service hours.
    Learn effective advocacy strategies.
    Improve social and communication skills.
  • Receive a gift card.
    Obtain certification in Mental Health First Aid.
    Opportunity to participate in other social support activities with universities and other partner agencies.
