Vision y Compromise

In 2001, Visión y Compromiso formed the Network of Promotoras and Community Health Workers (Network) in response to promotoras articulating the need for an organization to represent their interests. Building community power locally in regional comités, the Network represents more than 4,000 grassroots community leaders in 17 urban and rural regions of California. Today, the Network is the core of our work, directly links our organization to the community, and is a vehicle for building local leaders, providing training and workforce development, advocating on behalf of community priorities, and partnering with diverse sectors of the California economy.
