Would you like to be part of the next group of the Institute of Central Coast Promotoras?
The Promotoras Institute of Visión y Compromiso is designed to develop your career as a promotora and offers:
- Training and development as a community leader
- Mentoring
- Facilitation skills in community health and social justice issues
- Design and implementation of community projects
- Specialization: Popular education, research, holistic health, leadership or advocacy
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR THE PROMOTORAS INSTITUTE 2025-26
- Resident of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura Counties
- Commitment to complete the 18-month training process starting in July 2025
- Two letters of recommendation (from a person in the community or an organization) describing your service to the community
- Completed application package (application, two letters of recommendation, written personal commitment)
This training process consists of 3 stages and lasts approximately 18 months.
